A. Basic Health Education Program
We provide training opportunities for the following courses:

Health Care in the Home Course (HCH)
- also known as the Basic Home Nursing Course, its components combine the Care of the Sick and the Injured and the Mother and Baby Care course, which is aimed to train a nurse in every home.

Care of the Sick and the Injured Course
(CSI)
- Training on Home Care and treatment of simple ailments at home are given emphasis.

Mother and Baby Care Course (MBC)
- making childbearing and child care a much more pleasant experience for the mother and the child through proper childcare training.

Mother's Aide Course (Baby Sitter's
Course)
- The Filipino usually has an extended family with various relatives living under one roof. In this course, immediate family members, relatives or domestic helpers are trained on the importance of proper baby care with the emphasis on child growth and development needs.

Care of the Older Adults Training (COAT)
- Giving importance to our elderly is a distinct Filipino trait, in this course, caregivers are provided with essential training to develop their skills and knowledge with special attention given to health promotion and disease prevention so as to best provide for the needs
of our elderly.

HIV/AIDS Preventive Education
- Using a massive public information campaign to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS by promoting ways of controlling it using creative learning strategies and effective awareness development methods.
B. Nursing Education Program
Community Health Nursing Affiliation
A six-week training program designed for junior and senior nursing students honing them to become efficient and independent nurse practitioners in the field of Community Health Nursing.
- Basic Disaster Nursing Course
- A course designed to prepare nurses for the task of giving care to victims of disasters. International Courses
- Field Study on Primary Health Care (PHC)
- This course is designed for international student nurses who have immersion visits to areas covered by the PNRC-PHC Program. Enriching experiences and fellowships among their Filipino nursing counterparts enhances technical training and promotes cross- cultural education.
- Disaster Field Training Course
- This course is offered to international nurses who wants to have first-hand experience on how PNRC manages health programs during disasters. Theoretical inputs are provided at the National Headquarters while field exposure is conducted in affected areas.
C. Primary Health Care Program
(Community Based Health Program)
- Strengthening the capability of vulnerable communities to manage their own health program through organized training of Multi-Sectoral Core Groups, Barangay Health Workers, Juniors Health Workers and Street Health Educators wherein participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation are extensively undertaken. Likewise, pro-active networking with LGUs and NGOs are constantly undertaken where community health projects such as safe water supply systems, primary health care centers and community health stores are established.
- Medical supplies and equipments for PHC project areas are provided as well as health surveillance through an established information system in target areas are undertaken. Health Information and Education Dissemination work is also accomplished.
- Target beneficiaries for primary health care projects include street children, indigenous communities, areas with armed conflicts and other vulnerable groups and communities.
D. Disaster Health Service Program
- CHNS also provides extensive and immediate assistance to local chapters during disaster operations. These include technical assistance by trained staff of the CHNS for disaster health assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
CHNS also provide medicines and medical supplies as support when supplies are available. In major disasters, CHNS helps the local chapters organize its health operations and establish emergency health stations.
E. Red Cross Caregiver Program
- The demand for caregivers abroad has become more pronounced with the aging of the population in highly developed countries. In response to this, the PNRC has strengthened the Home Nursing Course through the development of the Red Cross Caregiver's Course to train responsible adults in the care of family members or clients who are physically or mentally unable to do self-care at home.
