MOOT COURT COMPETITION

The National Moot Court Competition aims to provide a venue for students of law to become acquainted and proficient on the issue of International Humanitarian Law, including current related conventions, principles and jurisprudence, as this is clearly of major concern to our lives. Further, this is an opportunity for students to practice and home their skills and talents in the art of argumentations.

IHL DAY

In observance of the 50th Anniversary of the Geneva Conventions in 1999, the Philippine government issued Executive Order (EO) 134 declaring August 12 as IHL Day. For PNRC, it designated August as IHL Month where the year-round promotion of IHL reaches its peak nationwide.

The Department of National Defense (DND) and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) take turns as Chair for this yearly event with the support of PNRC, ICRC and other government and non-government organization.
