Today, January 28, it has been announced that the following are the newly elected officers of the Philippine Red Cross Board of Governors:

    Chairman: Senator Richard J. Gordon
    Vice Chairman: Leslie W. Espino
    Secretary: Corazon Alma G. de Leon
    Assistant Secretary: Atty. Rodolfo O. Reyes
    Treasurer: Leonida B. Ortiz
    Ass. Treasurer: Ramon C. Locsin
    Counselor: Atty. Lorna Patajo-Kapunan

The Board of Governors selected Atty. Rodolfo Reyes and Lorna Patajo-Kapunan as members of the Board.

Chester Villanueva, president of the National Youth Council of the Philippine Red Cross, was also welcomed as a member of the Board to represent the youth inclined to humanitarian work.

Chairman Richard J. Gordon feels elated upon his third win. He thanks the Board of Governors for giving him another chance to undertake the prime responsibility in the organization.

“I hope that this becomes a more efficient year for the Red Cross,” he added.
