Senator Richard J. Gordon, Chairman of the Philippine National Red Cross, was in Cadiz and Victoria City today to visit fisherfolk and their families who were affected by Typhoon Frank.

Forensic experts from the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) will arrive in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental on Thursday to identify the decomposing bodies of fishermen whose fishing boats sank in Romblon waters at the height of typhoon Frank.

PNRC Chairman and CEO, Senator Richard J. Gordon revisited Iloilo last Sunday, June 29, 2008 with U.S. Ambassador Kristie Kenney to meet with American servicemen and local officials helping distribute relief goods to the victims of Typhoon Frank in Western Visayas. The U.S. government through Jon Lindberg of USAID donated US$100,000 to the PNRC.
