The Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) received recently the Betty Go Belmonte Most Outstanding Non-Governmental Organization Humanitarian Award in a ceremony held at Dusit Hotel, Makati City.

A sixty-two-year-old grandmother who had difficulty in breathing and a  firefighter were given first aid by responding Emergency Response Unit (ERU) teams of the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) National Headquarters during a fire that hit an old building of the Manuel Luis Quezon University (MLQU) in Quiapo, Manila district shortly before dawn today.

At least 15 people, who were injured Tuesday night in a bus collision at the northbound lane of EDSA (formerly Highway 54) corner Aurora Boulevard, Cubao, Quezon City were given first aid and rushed to nearby hospitals by the Emergency Response Teams (ERT) of the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC)-Quezon City chapter.
