In line with the 2009 Global Campaign in celebration of the World Red Cross Day was the 3^rd World Red Cross and Red Crescent Youth Meeting, held in Solferino, Italy last June 22-28, 2009 with the theme “Youth on the Move”.

            It is an avenue to connect with hundreds of Red Cross and Red Crescent Youth Volunteer Leaders across the globe to discuss relevant youth issues. It is also a way to make steps in furthering the involvement of the youth in the humanitarian services of the organization. An international event such as this will not only provide every volunteer an insight of what transpired during the time of Henry Dunant’s humanitarian gesture but it will also serve as a conduit to foster a spirit of international collaboration to promote amity and communal understanding.
