About Misamis Occidental
|
The Misamis Occidental-Oroquieta City-Tangub City Chapter underwent 2 statuses before it became an independent Chapter. From 1947-1949, it was a sub-office from 1950 to 1952 a sub-chapter. Finally in 1953, the Chapter was chartered and was known up to 1970 as Misamis Occidental Red Cross. Then Last October 23, 1984, the Chapter nomenclature was changed to Misamis Occidental-Oroquieta City Chapter’s as Tangub City gained also their independence on the same date.
The first Board of Directors was headed by Santiago Dizon, with the support of other officer, namely; Antonio Pinero,Vice Chairman, Concepcion C. Blanco, Secretary and Rosario Zaldivar as the treasurer with the following members; Cayetano Hernandez, Nazario Froilan, Jose Lomontod, Felisicimo S. solito,Diosdado Bacolod, Leonardo Oteyza, Gideon Quijano, Porferio Villarin, Juan Ratunil Quimsuan and Felomino D. Pacana.
