August 30, 1946: the Rizal Sub-Chapter was established with an auxiliary Board of Directors composed of nine prominent civic leaders headed by then Gov. Sixto Antonio.

1948: the Sub-Chapter became an independent chapter moving to the old Rizal Provincial Capitol Compound. Sub-offices were also created in Pasay and Caloocan which were then part of Rizal. These eventually became independent chapters.

1952: the present office of the Rizal Red Cross Chapter was built along Shaw Boulevard in Pasig City through the efforts of then Chairman John Canson and Dr. Salud Montelibano.

1956: Gov. Isidro S. Rodriguez pushed for the creation of a blood bank with the support of Chairman Tomas de Castro and Chapter Administrator Atty. Liwayway de Jesus.

1957: a medical indigency clinic was inaugurated. Funds were allocated for an ambulance and the services of a pharmacist and a doctor.

1976: Mrs. Dominga C. Benigno succeeds Atty. Liwayway de Jesus who is promoted to the National Office as the Asst. Secretary General for Operations.

1984: Chairman Tomas de Castro retired as chairman and Mrs. Adelina S. Rodriguez, wife of the late Gov. Isidro Rodriguez, Sr. and former mayor of Quezon City, became the Chairman of the Board of Directors. During this period, the chapter acquired one additional vehicle.

1990: the chapter continued to deliver all six services of the organization under the administration of Dr. Teresita P. Arguelles who succeeded Mrs. Benigno as Chapter Administrator.

1993 and 1994: the chapter was given special citation for its excellent performance 1995: Rizal Chapter was awarded the Category I Chapter of the Year Award.

CHAPTER EXPANSION

The personnel grew from only 12 employees in 1991 to its present 22 regular employees with the Blood Services having the biggest number of personnel.

1995: the Rizal Provincial Government donated to the PNRC the property on which the Red Cross office stands.  Gov. Casimiro Ynares turned over the Transfer of Certificate of Title to the Chapter on August 7, 1995.

July 1995: the chapter began the first phase of the construction of an annex building to house a training center and storage area. 

In 1997, with the assistance of Gov. Rosa Rosal, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) granted one Besta ambulance to the chapter.

June 1998: the Annex Building and Training Center, together with the renovated Main building, was inaugurated.

1999: branches and sub-offices in Taytay, Rizal and Antipolo City were created.

2000: a branch was established in Las Piñas City spearheaded by Congresswoman Cynthia A. Villar who was designated Chairman of the Branch Council

2002: the Chapter launched the Health Action Program for Street Children funded for three years (2002-2004)by the Danish Red Cross Society

2003: the chapter focused on strengthening its Membership Drive, Red Cross Youth Program and Volunteer Services

2005: the Chapter was awarded the Chapter of the Year Award for 2003-2004, Best in RCY and CHNS Awards during the 26th Biennial Convention at the Manila Hotel.
