Red Cross Albay-Legazpi Chapter responds to a vehicular accident at Ligñon Hill

Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Albay-Legazpi Chapter Emergency Response Unit (ERU) on Saturday responded to a vehicular accident at Ligñon Hill, Brgy. Bogtong, Legaspi City around 3: 45 pm involving a utility vehicle, L300 Van GT Express.

According to a report of PRC Albay-Legazpi Chapter to the PRC Operation Center, the L300 Van fell down to a ravine at Ligñon Hill where fifteen (15) passengers were involved.

Three (3) PRC staff and four (4) volunteers immediately responded to the area. Two (2) victims were also transported to Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH).

Likewise, five (5) Red Cross Youth (RCY) from Mariners Polytechnic College Foundation Council assisted to transport one (1) patient to BRTTH who had a deep laceration in the forehead.

Out of 15 passengers, 14 were reported injured and one (1) was declared dead.
