PRC to receive USD 1 million from SMC

Responding to the Philippine Red Cross' (PRC) appeal for the Japan quake and tsunami victims, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) will give three checks amounting to USD 1 million to the said humanitarian organization at 3 pm on 30 March 2011.

PRC Chairman Richard J. Gordon and Secretary General Gwendolyn Pang will personally receive the said generous donations at SMC head office.

On behalf of SMC, President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon S. Ang and Chief Finance Officer Ferdinand K. Constantino will be handing over a check worth USD 800,000.

Meanwhile, 2 SMC executives are to give donations coming from their personal accounts. SMC President and Chief Operating Officer Ang, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Eduardo M. Cojuangco, Jr. are expected to donate USD 100,000 each for the benefit of the said cause.
