As part of the millennium development goals, Nestlé Philippines, Inc. (NPI) handed over a check worth Php 1M to the Philippine Red Cross on 29 June 2017 at the PRC Tower in Mandaluyong City.
Nestlé Philippines, Inc. was represented by Nestlé CEO and Chairman, Jacques Reber, SVP Head of Corporate Affairs, Atty. Ernesto Mascenon and Corporate Affairs Executive, Sarah Lopez-Pozas.
“This will go a long way in helping our brothers and sisters in Marawi. Thank you, Nestle Philippines, Inc. for helping us out, for supporting the Red Cross through the years. PRC will continue its mission to alleviate human suffering and help the most vulnerable through its quality of volunteers, logistics, and information technology,” said PRC Chairman Richard Gordon.
NPI extended their assistance to PRC’s effort in Marawi by giving coffee and chocolate drinks which will be prepositioned in PRC warehouses. NPI, who has been a long time partner of the PRC in blood programs and other activities, shows strong sense of responsible corporate citizenship in helping the most vulnerable and enhancing quality of life by contributing to a healthier future. They also pledged an ambulance to the PRC this year.
The said donation will be a big part of PRC's humanitarian assistance to the affected people in Marawi and is a good way of sustainable partnership between Nestlé Philippines, Inc. and the Philippine Red Cross.
