Establishment of the Chapter
2000, April - PNRC Board of Governors approved the
establishment of Valenzuela City Red Cross sub- Chapter of
Caloocan City Red Cross thru Gov. Lina A. Aurelio on the
strength of a clamor of Mayor Bobbit L. Carlos, M.D.
2004, November 17 - PNRC Board of Governors approved the
Independence of Valenzuela City Chapter. (Recognition of the
Valenzuela City Chapter as a full-fledged, chapter of the
Philippine National Red Cross).

2004, September 28 - Valenzuela Sub-chapter RANKED NO. 8
FROM AMONG THE 90 CHAPTERS and NO. 2 AMONG NCR CHAPTERS on
Leadership Campaign on Membership and Volunteers.
2004, November 11 – It was hailed as MODEL CHAPTER on
best Strategies on Fund Generation.
2005, May 14 - The Chapter emerges over-all Champion in
the Disaster Response Competition for Metro Manila Chapters
held at PNRC National Headquarters sponsored by Hongkong Red
Cross.
2006, September 6 – Valenzuela City Chapter ranked 2nd in
NCR & 6th Nationwide in MAAB Program.
2006, October 28 – Ms. Jehan Torda was chosen as one of
the Ten Outstanding RCY of the Philippines
2007, December 7 - The PNRC Valenzuela City Chapter
marked another year after it gained an award given during
the 27th Biennial National Convention for having one of the
Most Innovative Idea in Fund Generation with its "Dollar For
Humanity" project which made an avenue to many Filipinos
living abroad to continue extending their help and be able
to reach their beloved kababayans through Red Cross.
2000-2008 – Plaque of Recognition from National
Headquarters for over scribing on fund Generation and
Service Delivery.
2008, October 25 – The RCY Valenzuela's Tanghalang Krus
na Pula was highlighted in the Talent extravaganza held at
the NCCA, Intramuros, Manila with its Musical Production
entitled "Battle of Solferino". It received a standing
ovation headed by Gov. Juan Miguel F. Zubiri, PNRC
Governors, Staff, Delegates from ICRC and Spanish Red Cross,
and Administrator/ Staff & Volunteers of different Chapters.
December 15, 2009 – Valenzuela City Chapter was hailed as
2009 Chapter of the Year – Category 1 during the 28th
National Biennial Convention held in Manila Hotel.
January 12, 2010 – PRC Valenzuela had acquired a
Motorcycle Respond Vehicle from the NHQ.
September 30, 2010 – The chapter was one of the
recipients of Rubber Boat and rescue equipment by the IFRC
as part of their capacity building program.
December 18, 2010 - CRCY President Ms. Janice B. Tabano
was awarded as one of the Ten Outstanding Red Cross Youth of
the Philippine.
May 15, 2012 - Valenzuela City Chapter was given an Award
of Excellence for surpassing all expectations and
overachieving its fund campaign for three(3) consecutive
from 2009-2011

(H2P) Training of First Responders at Luntiang Paraiso
Resort, Guiguinto Bulacan sponsored by the International
Federation of Red Cross and USAID.
June 21, 2011 to Present -The Netherlands Red Cross –
Partners for Resilience Project under the Disaster
Management Services started which aims to strengthen the
resilience of vulnerable Communities to reduce the effect of
disaster risk, to adapt to the effects of Climate Change and
to decrease environmental degradation.
