Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Chairman Richard Gordon led the inauguration of the newly renovated Cebu Chapter building last March 9.
Gordon said the modernized building stands as a symbol of PRC’s continuing efforts to extend its services.
The two-story rehabilitated building, located along Osmena Blvd in Brgy. Capitol Site, houses the Eastern Visayas Regional Blood Center and offices of other major services namely Safety Services, Welfare Services, Disaster Management Services, Health Services, Red Cross Youth, Volunteer Services, and International Humanitarian Law.
The 4.7-million project was supported by the Japanese Red Cross Society, German Red Cross, and French Red Cross.
PRC Secretary General Atty. Oscar Palabyab, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Head of Country Office Chris Staines, and partners from the healthcare and government sectors also attended the event.
